LinkedAlert ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LinkedAlert Chrome extension and website at instantlinkedalert.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

• Google account information: your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained when you sign in with Google. This is used to identify your account.
• Subscription status: whether your account is in trial or active subscription, stored in our database to gate access to the extension.
• Job listing IDs: numeric job IDs scraped from your LinkedIn job search page. These are stored locally in your browser only and never sent to our servers.
• Usage analytics: events describing how the app is used, for example, signing in, starting or stopping monitoring, opening the Job Tracker, or completing checkout. These events are tied to your account so we can understand how individual accounts use the product and improve it. They describe app behavior only: they never include your job search queries, job listing content, or LinkedIn data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your LinkedIn credentials or session data.
• We do not store your job search queries or keywords.
• We do not collect browsing history outside of LinkedIn job search pages.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
• We do not distribute or share your usage analytics with any third party for their own purposes. This data is used internally, by us, to understand and improve app behavior.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account via Google Sign In.
• To verify your subscription status and grant access to the extension.
• To send browser notifications when new job listings are detected.
• To understand how the app is used and improve it, based on usage analytics.

4. Data Storage

Your account information and subscription status are stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Job listing data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and is never transmitted to our servers.

5. Third Party Services

• Google OAuth: used for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: used for database and authentication backend. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Iyzico: used for payment processing. Subject to Iyzico's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics: used only as our infrastructure for processing usage analytics (see Section 1). We do not use it for advertising, and it does not receive job search content or LinkedIn data. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. LinkedIn

LinkedAlert operates as a browser extension that reads publicly visible job listing information from LinkedIn pages you are already viewing. We do not interact with LinkedIn's API, scrape data at scale, or violate LinkedIn's Terms of Service. The extension only activates on pages you explicitly navigate to.

7. Data Retention

Job listing data stored in your browser is automatically deleted after 90 days. You can clear all extension data at any time by removing the extension or clearing browser storage. Account data is deleted upon request by contacting us. Usage analytics events are retained according to our Google Analytics data retention settings.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
